Shout out to cudarunner
I'd like to say a big thank you to cudarunner for his help and services recently. I sent him one of my ERN straight razors to be honed. Not only did he do an amazing job with that, he also went above and beyond and did some other things to the razor too. He also provided a clear and detailed information sheet of the work that he did, and also on how to maintain the razor to keep it shaving good. I used it last night, and it was perfect from the first pass until the last. I know it's echoed throughout the forum, but a good straight razor that has been professionally honed makes the world of difference!

I have said it many times in past post or replies so again. The members of this community are some of the most knowledgeable and helpful people that make up any forum on any subject that I have ever been a part of. The wealth of knowledge and willingness to share is incredible. I hope that some of this rubs off on me.👍

Where would be if we didn't share and compare? Probably back in the Feudal Dark Middle Ages. The more we know the more we can share. The more we share the more we know. Almost too Pollyanna simple but there is a truth to it in orderly and gentlemanly sharing of knowledge.

I will be proud to vouch for Cudarunner. Good people. Straight shooter, family man.
Asset to SRP. Sent me razors to hone and took the time to critique my work of his straights.

Tell him Junior told you about him.
Oh Roy will get you farther than Mister.

Thanked: 3795When I was kid, our neighbor on the next farm looked just like Junior Samples. I used to wonder how he was able to go to Tennessee every week!
Ray was a "close talker." He'd try to stand so closely that his overall covered gut would be touching you. Of course that still meant that his face was a couple feet away, so sometimes that gut would be pressing into you. My Dad was a definitely not a close talker, so every time Ray took a step near him my Dad would take a step away. The effect was that Ray would be slowly chasing my Dad around the yard every time he came over to our place. It was fun to watch!
