I have a big scar on my chin from a bicycling accident. Wife thought it was neat - so I never worried about it.

Thanked: 351All I do at this point is keep a recent photo of myself for the surgeon, just in case there is a question of what goes where....
As for visible facial scars, to some they are a major concern as it can bother them, others shrug their shoulders and carry on. As for the original posters question, the only answer is to see a plastic surgeon and ask. They are the only ones who can really answer, and even they will likely give a range of time as it depends on the individual patient and how quickly their body heals and how they respond to such corrective surgery.
