Default Never visit mayfair with cash in your wallet

The trumpers store in mayfair is a dangerous place to visit. I went to buy some cream.......I left £70 poorer! They had some lovely brushes on the counter...I had to get one. I used it this morning and it is beautiful. It will take me a few shaves to relearn my lathering technique with a much bigger brush as it absorbs much more water than my old one. I'm not sure who manufactures their brushes but I would recommend it to anyone.
It really is a beautiful shop, very traditional with display cases. I think they should make more on their website of how their shop looks.

I was going to look for taylors too but after leaving mayfair I thought it best to wait for a while before buying more!
Now I can't wait to get back to my house tonight to get hold of my 3 wedges I ordered when I was in poland!

Heh heh. In that case I suggest you give D.R.Harris' original pharmacy store on St James street (round corner from Green Park tube) a wiiiiiiide berth. I went a little OTT in there.

I'm sure they must put crack in their Arlington range!

Actually, Mark, I believe that you've got it backwards.....

I'm 99% sure their brushes are made by Vulfix in the Isle of Man.

    Yep, Vulfix

ps. Michael gave me the shining example for preventing SBAD, and I have followed in his footsteps. Here's what to do: go out and get the best available (for your taste) and be done with it. Sure, it may be over $200 (or well over $200)but otherwise you'll always wonder and spend much more over the course. Rooney Finest and Plisson HMW are good bets, maybe Simpson Super too.

I was lucky...had the directions from Mark, what to look out for, whom to speak to etc only for some berk to book me into a meeting. I could only walk past the next morning at 8 before catching the early train back north and stare through the window like a poor kid outside Hamley's at Christmas!!!

My bank balance survived...next week however I am in Tottenham Court road to any excuse to get the taxi will be used.....
