Default Back on the straight shaving wagon!

Hey guys. Just wanted to celebrate the fact that I'm back on the straight shave wagon! About three years ago, I started a thruhike of the Appalachian Trail, and since that time, I have had a beard of varying lengths. A couple of weeks ago, I started a new gig as a teacher at a Catholic school, and therefore, the scruff (as well as the long hair I've been growing) met their demise. It wasn't a sad day though, since I now get to pick up my straights every day or so.

The help and support I received from this forum is what kept me going when I first started straight shaving, so I'm glad to be back and a part of it again! Cheers!

    Welcome back.

Have you completed the AT? That is on my bucket list.

Yes JTmke, I thruhiked in 2013. Went northbound, Georgia to Maine. It was one of the best experiences of my life. If you can do it, I encourage you to do it. You meet some amazing people and create experiences that you won't have anywhere else. I hope you can make it out there soon!

    Welcome back to straight razors.

The AT is also on my list. Heading out in November for a long weekend on the AT down by Damascus.
