Thread: Japan Proxy Buyer Query

I am interested in a Japanese style razor from the proxy buyer service, but I have one question I hope someone can answer.
Let me preface this by saying that I do not speak Japanese and the translation software I am using is laughable so it may simply be a case of the specifics being lost in translation.
In the auction you have the starting price and then you have what my Japanese language software translates as Desired Successful Bid price which is sometimes, but not always, higher than the starting bid.
Is this the same as a reserve price on ebay.com? If I put the only the starting bid on an item that had a higher Desired Successful Bid, would I not get the item?
Probably a stupid question I know but I blame my software (and anyone who makes a remark about poor workmen blaming theirr tools will be sorry .)

I think if you are going to use the proxy service just let them do the work and don't worry about it. You'll either get it for your price or be outbid.
