Thanked: 4942Convention Vendors
Howdy,
Wanted to put a post up as it's time for any one wanting a table at the 1st Annual Straight Razor/Wet Shaving Convention to contact me about reserving it for them. The tables are 6ft. long, so you may want one or more.
Send me a PM if interested.
Thanks.

Thanked: 4942Hi Folks,
This looks like it's going to be a great get together. So far, we have Classic Shaving, Vintage Blades, Colleen, Mama Bear, The Perfect Edge (Howard), Giovanni (Italiano Barbieria) and still more coming for vendor tables.
Charlie Larman is taking the reservations for the vendors and he can be reached through a PM here. We are working on the configuration to make sure we have lots of demonstrations along with the vendors and hopefully some refreshments available too.
Let's here if for Charlie and the great job he is doing to help pull this thing off. I understand he is also working on some banners for us.
So........Contact Charlie as soon as possible if any questions or problems.
See you there and Thanks,
Lynn

Why haven't you mentioned Tony's TheWellShavedGentleman? And what about Keith's HandAmerican? He even has a new 'mystery product' posted last night. And can someone drop a line to John Crowley of TheShavingShop.com - they have some nice stuff they could demo/sell. Also TheArtOfShaving has many locations and is opening a new store in Cleveland Ohio in summer of 07 - maybe they'd like to know about this?
And not that I expect it, but it'd be REAAAALY great if maybe vendors could offer some incentives or discount on sales at the convention. I always love freebee giveaways of samples and stuff, and it would REAALY be nice to sample some new fragrances before buying... But I really love when I get a discount on merchandise because I'm part of a select group & I've traveled far to see their stuff. Just a suggestion

Thanked: 4942Fred,
Thanks so much for volunteering to be on our vendor committee. Please make sure you contact all the vendors you mentioned and any others you like and let them know that the charge for a table at the convention is $100 and remind them that we would love to have them there. Also remind them to send a note out to their customer data base letting all their customers know about the convention. They can contact Charlie Larman through the group here and make the arrangements for their tables. This is awesome.
Charlie is spending a significant amount of time making sure he is there for the vendors and contacting media, etc.... so all the help he can get will be appreciated.
Let the vendors know that they are also welcome to participate in panel discussions and demonstrations.
Thanks again!!!

Thanked: 1Have you guys contacted Truefitt and Hill about the convention? They have their shop in chicago, I don't know how interested they would be, but it might be worth it to inform them about it.

I've contacted Keith, Tony, and TheArtofShaving as well as Sara of Moss Scuttle.
I asked them to direct all correspondence to Lynn & Paul, but could not provide any email addresses, so I hope they come by the message board to PM someone.
Sara emailed me back to say she's busy in tourist season, and would think about it.
