Monthly subscription shave clubs.
I'm interested in maybe trying a monthly wet shavers club. Seems to be many to choose from. I like the idea of continual supply of products to try before buying full size. Mainly curious if anyone uses one and what your experience is. If you feel it's worth it or not.

I've never really heard that much about them; so I can't really give you a good answer to your opening post.
In a way , I already belong to a shave club, SRP, I am constantly buying different shave items & trying them, engaging in discussions about the products & I get to choose the cheapest/best company to get the products from.

Thanked: 4830Well the only shave stuff that I go through much of is soaps. I have had the great fortune to have met several really good people and have exchanged or been out and out gifted a lot of soaps and soap samples. I think the idea has merit for sure, but I think for my purposes it would have to be a 1/4 tub or less of a soap every month. However I have a pretty decent selection of soaps, and a lot of nice soaps, and I tend to reach for the same 4 or 5 regularly. I wonder if there is a soap of the month club.

From my research it seems that the first month is geared torwards getting a new wet shaver started. De, brush, soap, blades etc. then most seem to offer more soaps and aftershaves the following months. I don't truely need monthly supplies. I have been wet shaving long enough that the collection is established. Like rezdog I use the same soaps and creams regularly. I was mainly interested to see if anyone was using one and if they thought the products that were received made it beneficial.

Thanked: 4830I just went and looked at them and there was no soap of the month club. Yes the first month on all of them was setting up a new wet shaver with a DE razor brush and all and then blades and other accruements monthly after that. There were none that offered a package that seemed to make sense for me, but if you were just getting started, they may be ok. Part of that would depend on the DE razor, hopefully it is quality and not too aggressive. I know nothing about them other than the fact that they scare me.
