Thread: Do you have special shaving towels?

When I first started DE shaving I invested in a stack of white face cloths and another stack of matching hand towels. I admit it is an extravagance, but I do enjoy a fresh face cloth and hand towel every morning. It just seems to be in keeping with the ambiance of a traditional wet shave. Every Sunday evening I do a small washing load of my shaving linens. Another part of the ritual.

How about the rest of you...do you have special towels for your morning shave?

No, just splash face with cold water, lather and shave. After a final rinse I wipe my face dry with my bath towel.

Yes, hot towels like Rolodave.

I use two bar towels with every shave. One to support the razor when not in use and the other to wipe the blade as needed. They're indispensable for me.

I am different from many here and shave before my shower.

My cold water shave warms up the pipes to the shower.

No need to wipe before the shower......

A steaming hot towel after the shave,,, nothing like it.

This came up recently for Gasman. I understand that Amazon has quite the deal on them.

I personally use larger kitchen hand towels, but will try the ones from Amazon as they wear out.
