    Default My 'travel' kit

Here is my typical, weekend kit.

I'm taking Mama to Nashvegas for the weekend, for her 40th birthday. So I thought I snap a pic of what I'm having her pack for my 'stuff.'

I have one of my Fathers old shaving kit bags. The brush, I store in the cardboard tube, from the factory. I, do however, make sure the strop isn't squashed. I roll it up, put a zip tie on it to keep it from unrolling. Then keep it seperate from the 'packed'/stuffed suit cases.

I used to take a strop in the beginning and I would just line the outside of my bag with a couple of items, then run the strop around the oinside of those and then fill the hole, if that makes sense. but then I found the Feather RG razor so my travel razor is it with a pack of blades, it stays in my bag for the Motorcycle,, out here at work its no brainer cause my RV has everything I need in it. but another thing you might consider is a paddle strop,, a small one it wont take up much room either, I tried everything but the disposable balde feather worked best for me. Or the Dovo, travel strop. Rolls up and fits in a shoe.

The leather is very nice, as is the linen. A piece of paracord looped over a door knob and you’re ready to go.

I have SRD's modular paddle. But, I just got this Roo strop and thought I'd take her a trip to Music City.

Sweet travel kit there, sir. It would be nice to see a picture of that custom by Frans with the blade in the open position.

"Mama to Nashvegas for the weekend"

Just do not forget Mama! Looks like you have all the other important bits.

Tell us later how you like the strop. I was eyeballing
that very strop. I cannot decide if I want a spare leather bit or
    the entire strop kit.
