I got a simialr reply when I asked my barber in 1980s about straight razor shaving. I remember him saying: don't bother with straights, modern day blades are much sharper. Apparently many barbers did not really like the shaving part of their trade.

Ummm not sure what that was all about......but not one of those will give you a good shave.
And seriously for the price of the second one, you can get a fine SR here in the B/S/T for that price once in a while.

Simply a paid-for advertisement for Schick and Gillette. Start off showing a ridiculously overpriced alternative, then make sure the rest are disposeable razors.
Funny how 3 of the razors wound up with nothing to dislike. Pffft! What a crock!
