SRP members is the Texas Coastal area
All --
I put this post here instead of The Conversation because if it wasn't for a guy from the Houston area and his circle of SRP friends, I wouldn't still be shaving with a SR or DE. I would have tried it, gotten bored and gone back to cartridges -- which worked for me for 30 years well enough that I could hold a steady desk job.
Then came SRP, and in particular a guy you know as Sharptonn (Tom) and his circle of accomplished, talented, creative and yes "weird" and funny friends, who taught me more than I ever would have known, otherwise.
Right now, a large chunk of SE Texas, including, I expect Sharptonn's neighborhood, are experiencing one of the worst storm effects seen in the recent past. I have been, in my past, in the emergency management business and I live in a hurricane "alley". I know what it's like.
Watching the evening news, I watched these stories of the unbelievable flooding which is sweeping away from people everything they know, love and own. Then the story shifted to "and it's going to probably cause gasoline prices to jump 15 - 30 cents/gallon...."
Pardon me, but who gives a crap? We care about people, not things, and we ought to be worrying about and praying for those we know who may be impacted...not our own wallets.
I just want to ask that all who pray, please do so for the people there we know, and those we don't know, that they will be safe and they will be strong enough to go on and recover. If you don't pray, you should, but rather than taking my advice on that, just send whatever positive vibes you can in the direction of Houston and the other areas around it that are still being threatened by a once in a lifetime event.
Then lather up and shave!
Peace,
Harold
