I'm about 90 miles from Houston so I've not had it as bad as them by any means. Only 11+ inches of rain since late Friday night. I've been praying hard for everybody else though. Just moved down here two years ago so this is my first hurricane. Big difference from the earthquakes in Kalifornia though. A little shaking and it's over. The hurricanes effects keeps going and going and going! Sigh.

Aloha!
As someone who has been through a Hawaiian Hurricane, and two Florida Hurricanes, my heart goes out to you gents.
All my best wishes.

I'm still broke down in Harrisonburg, VA and won't likely be home till next weekend. I asked my wife to check out the drainage canals behind our subdivision to the north side. She took pictures and I'll post them. She says despite heavy rains, a near tornado, we're fine. Our house sits high enough up from the street not much worry of flooding. No build up of water on our street either. We are in a new subdivision and drainage seems to be doing fine. My prayers go out to those in distress.

Pictures taken about 1:30 PM CT. This canal is usually empty. Saw a report tonight that said 9 trillion gallons of water have been dumped on vicinity. My company dispatch has instructed its drivers to avoid Houston till midweek earliest.
Prayers going out to all my SRP and Houston area friends back in the hood.
I'm absolutely keeping all those who are affected by hurricane Harvey and all that are volunteering to help in my thoughts and prayers.
