We're just days away from the kick off of the Movember fundraiser guys.
I see the teams are getting going and new gents are signing up to help.
Lets not let this go unnoticed, we need to get the word out and help our Mo Bros!!!!
There are so many health issues, both physical and mental, that need to be addressed and have awareness brought to them. This is our chance to do just that.
Hope to see the SRP Team grow and out do last years donation total!!Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz

Greeting and Inspiration from Movember...
In the past we have offered our very supportive Movember contact Doug Prusoff a chance to post an inspirational message to the group as we get ready to Mo.
This year Doug turned to Michael Miller, a member of the Movember team.
To say that Michael’s words are worth the time would be my understatement of the year, so I will step out of the way…and wait for all of you to sign up..MJC
Mo Bros and Mo Sistas of Straight Razor Place,
For more than a decade, I struggled with substance use and a mental health disorder, both of which I am in recovery for. Triggered by a violent trauma I experienced as a young adult, this lead to my anxiety, depression, heroin/alcohol use, homelessness, incarceration, an overdose, deterioration of my relationships, and ultimately a complete loss of my sense of self.
I have lost friends to overdose and suicide, but I was lucky. My story did not end that way. I asked for help.
There is a stigma about men, and that they should not reach out for help and be open/honest about how they are feeling. I have lost friends to suicide or overdose because they felt like they could not talk to someone. If we can shed the preposterous idea that men should not display emotions or ask for help and give them a safe space to talk about what is going on with them, they can get better.
For me, I eventually found the courage and strength to admit I was not OK, and I could not simply ‘man up’ to get over the things that were broken in my world. I chose to start talking. With the help of my wife and friends who encouraged me, I decided to seek treatment and outside help. These people gave me a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment to talk about what I was struggling with.
A moustache is a hell of an excuse to spark a conversation about my journey and the journey many men don’t get to finish. This is why I stand with the Movember Foundation. Movember has paved a way for men to encourage each other to abandon our preconceptions about what it means to be a man; to allow space for true courage, and to honor our commitment to our families, our communities and most importantly, ourselves.
On average, men die 6 years younger than women, and every minute one man around the world takes his own life. Movember is tackling this head on, and is the only global charity focused on men’s health, raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Today I live a life I never believed was possible. I am engaged to the love of my life and we just bought our first home. I have real relationships with real friends. My mother has her son back. I have a fulfilling career helping others. I’m finishing my education. I get to give back to my community as a volunteer. I have been blessed with the honor of supporting other young men who are seeking or emerging in their own recovery. Above all else, I have an understanding that no matter what, I am not alone, as long as I speak up.
Be the difference and join the fight for men’s health. Go to Movember and sign-up or donate today. We couldn’t change the face of men’s health without you.

Ah, what the hell - I'm in again.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanks guys!!!!
Now that Movember is upon us, lets get things rolling so team SRP tops last years donations and does more to help the needs of men world wide!!
Since I'm not allowed to shave my face clean, I'm going to put this out there.
Anyone who donates to team SRP USA, and is the highest donator, will get to pick the color I dye my mustache and goatee' and I will wear it for the week. I'll dye it each Sunday, so whoever has the highest donation on Saturday night at midnight wins.
So this means I will sport 4 different colors for the month.
So lets see who gets to pick the color of the week!!!Look sharp and smell nice for the ladies.~~~Benz
