    I need something that will repel the rain since I live in a rain forest. Suede or canvas wouldn't be as leather or gortex or something. Since I do not have spare income I would need the jacket to fill that need alone and I'd be in.

    I agree, just yanking your chain.

    One of the challenges of putting something like this together is that everyone has a specific type/style/color/material that they'd like. Personally I'm partial to the A-2, but I don't know how many people would want to spend $300 for one.

    Yeah, I hear ya. And for that kinda scratch I'm gonna have something to say about the cuff and waistband too. A fair dose of K.I.S.S. is probably the best medicine at the end of the day. Whoever's out is out, and whoever's in is in. If it's a success, perhaps there can be a second run in a different style.
