Thanked: 104Ohh no! I was just looking at vintage strops on ebay
I have proudly stopped buying every straight razor that I find, with much assistance from the guys here. Thanks for helping me to learn that some things are junk. Sadly I just caught myself looking at Vintage Strops. This could be a horrible thing. I refuse to buy from ebay just because it has too much stuff, but strops look really fun.
Ugh.

Thanked: 7First World Problems man. Be happy you are able to have such buying addictions.
I've already bought an ivory-handled razor from a forum member and I'm looking to buy a vintage shave mug. It's an addiction for sure!

I have pretty much stopped buying razors as my taste has prohibited me from getting more as I lean towards pristine or NOS vintage, I do have some newly produced razors from makers like Brian Brown, Koraat and Riga Razor and am pleased with those but there just is something special in a NOS Filarmonica or Dorko. As far as strops go I have sold off all but for hangers and one paddle, of all the strops I have the closest I have to vintage is a Kanayama 30k that was taken out of a 8-10 year storage and the others are all newly produced ones so I still am wanting at least one true vintage that’s got a fast draw but it’s gotta be pretty pristine.
