Default Lunacy, Lets have a contest!!!!!!!!!!

It's July and I here tell there be some special eclipse of the moon.

Now we all know the moon exerts special influences on us all especially our beards and I have it on good authority it affects razors and hones and all shaving paraphernalia too. Some say folks go crazy and go on a shaving gear spree during this period.

Why just the other day we were down at Clem's General Store and the boys were sittin around chewing the fat jawin about how the moon affects their shaving especially Portifoy who has a metal hook for an arm and you should see him use a straight.

Well at any rate I wanna see your ideas for how the moon affects all aspects of shaving. Uncle Zeke puts metal filings in his aftershave during a full moon cause he says....well he's crazy anyway.

So whoever comes up with the best tall tales no I mean facts about this will be the winner as judged by our esteemed staff. All entries will be judged for originality.

The winner will receive one factory fresh sealed bottle (8oz) of Royall Aftershave Bay Rum. If you are in the U.S or Canada you are eligible.

    Sorry staff can't play.

We'll let this run for the month

You can place your entries in this thread.

I like a full moon because I don't have to light a candle for my nightly shave.

But I have found that my whiskers grow faster and seem to be harder during a full moon.

Many times I have found that stropping with CROX between passes helps a lot but during a Super Moon I have had to resort to using my PHIG for a touch up.

Yup...Some crazy stuff happens during the Super-Moon. My mustache hairs seem to join my nose-hairs.
I pull on them with tweezers and they are firm on the upper lip and up into the nostril.
Gotta cut them on each end.
Same stuff on the ear-hairs. Hairs are looped around the ear from inside the ear and around to the back of the ear. Sideburns grow an inch!
    Makes for some curious trimming....
    My front teeth hurt too????
Thinking of wearing a crucifix this time. Could not hurt?

I shave every night especially near a full moon and I haven't had problems to your extreme.

I find that chewing bones keeps my eye teeth in check.

It’s the back hair that gets outa control this type of moon.
Ya shave, ya growl, ya wake up covered in sweat after shredding your pillow in a dream..
Or you tell yourself it’s a dream...

Uncle Zeke complains about this pesky Timber Wolf who keeps raiding his illegal traps in the National Forest. Last week he got into a tug of war with the beast over some coyote caught in the trap. Uncle Zeke didn't win. Afterwards they became friends and the wolf complained that during a full moon he has these frightening dreams he turns into a human who can' stop eating and can't stop shaving cause his beard grows as fast as he can shave it.

Yes a true story. Too bad I'm ineligible to win.

When I was a young chap, serving as a powder monkey on Old Ironsides..
I longed for the day on which I could grow a regulation beard!!
One day I had a fever, and so such terrible hallucinations rendered me a captive of another world.
I remember the mermaid the most.
A young fool, after being offered a wish and a song, I wished for a beard!
She then shaved me with a straight razor, that sung a song of such beauty, such soul crushing tones, such barbaric grace, a symphony of mind blowing sounds of which no man could hear and survive..
My newly grown beard never grew back.
I awoke from that fever yet still a boy..
..and now can only ever shave when the full moon grows me a beard.
