Thread: Shave Times

I've now progressed to shaving every other day since I finally accepted the fact that I don't need to look "presentable" every day of the week. If on that particular shave day, I am rushed (even a retired person can be rushed on occasion) I'll use a DE. But, gasp, if extremely rushed I'll grab disposable for a speed shave. In an honest confession, I use a disposable every time I use a straight. I use the disposable to shave the area around my vocal cords. For some reason, that area has become super sensitive and irritates quickly using a straight or DE. Having white/gray hair now makes it permissible to even extend the alternate shaving days since it is hard to see the stubble.

Thanked: 1I'm a morning shower person and (it follows) a morning shave person, too.
OP - would it be feasible to set your alarm clock 15 minutes earlier to afford you a little more time?

About an inch left, and an inch right of my vocal cords, my beard grows sideways. I’ve long given up trying to get bbs in that area with a straight. I can get close, but the contortions needed to get bbs is just not worth it. But that’s why I think I got so excited when I got my R41 DE - it’d been a long time since I’d given myself a completely bbs shave.

Thanked: 60Every morning. It will become habit and muscle memory. I get two passes with a straight in 10 minutes from turning on the tap to putting the razor away..and no there is no decrease in enjoyment

Shaving at night is a no no for me.
Firstly I havn't got the light for it, secondly blood on my white 1000 thread count pillow cases upsets me
