    Default Trade deal...

Rezdog and I did a trade, that benefitted both of us. Part of the trade was reknotting an old bakalite brush handle.
I also got one of his killer Elk antler brushes in the deal, I just had to show them off. Thanks Rez, nice work.

The flip side. Custom kydex sheath for my deck knife and fid. They come with leather sheaths, but they don’t stand up to life at sea.

Rez . Show us the knife
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

    Nice!

I had to look up your 'Fid' but as I suspected it's what I know as a 'Marlins Spike'.
    Speedster and Dieseld like this.
Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

I looked them up and didn't see a bone handle option.

    Did you make yours?

No. Mine cam with the bone handle. It was a thing at the time I ordered. I’ve had it for some time.
Yes a fid and a spike are pretty much the same thing. Finds come in a variety of configurations for technical splicing as well. I have a bunch of technical finds at work for use with double braid and such things.
