This is the reason that I like 5/8 or 6/8
    But with 12/8........

*sigh* same thing happened to me. She took my DE, brush and bowl and gave me the set I bought for her because she liked mine better (granted the DE wasn't much of a loss, just my travel shaver). I doubt she'll ever move on to straights but she does seem to like the DE.

Not as bad as you'd think. I tried it at my wife's request because she though it would be hard to do as well. It's not too bad though IME it's easier with a DE. Just not as much skin to try to stretch for the smaller blade.

For under arms, try a smilling blade, it is very easy with it!

JLStorm dont feel bad i started my girlfriend on DE shaving as well and of course i lost half my stuff as well, but i finally laid down the law when she didnt put my Edwin Jagger super badger brush back right, she didnt shake it out and didnt put it in the stand she just left it bristles up and the sink.

I have. I bought a 6/8 with pink and white scales. It looks like Pepto Bismol and I don't know if it's worth salvaging but it's probably good for restoration practice.
