Thanked: 104Shaving class update.
Just a quick update to let you guys know that my shaving class went well. We had five guys show up and it was pretty fun. The best news is that one of the guys that was in my class just signed up at SRP and bought a razor here in the forums! I must have done ok.

Thanked: 4826That actually sounds pretty successful. Five showed and one taker is 20% right out of the gate and perhaps others will be late followers. I try to get everyone to use good soap and a brush. My pitch is no matter what the rest of your shave routine looks like, a good soap and a nice brush will give you the greatest increase in comfort when it comes to shaving.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 104I passed around a bunch of soaps and when asked what I recommended, by the guy who just bought a blade here, I suggested Proraso. I have always found it to be a good dependable soap. When he takes delivery of his new blade, I will reach out and see if he wants tips of some help.
The guy who won the give away got a 58 Super Speed, a synthetic brush, a mug, and a cake of AOS sandalwood soap, and a pack of DE blades.
Thanks to all of you guys for sharing all of your knowledge. I would never have been able to do it without you.
