    Default 10 days to Janus

Just got the note that the Janus razor will go for live sales beginning the 30th. A 500 dollar price tag for the first 400 sold and going up from there. Can't help but wonder if it is going to be worth the place I have set for it next to my toggle. But, I will be grabbing one. Any thoughts welcome.

What something is worth it or not is for the buyer to determine. At the price of $670 Canadian dollars for the first 400 it is more than I am willing to spend but that is just me. I'll stick with my gold toggle that cost 1/10th the price.

The thing is you spend a king's ransom for this razor and you don't even know how well it shaves. It's a real leap of faith.

That's 500 for the basic finish the fancier ones will be more as I understand it.

I don't know that Kickstarter is the best venue for a luxury item. Most folks want bargains there. I realize he has no risk there but he has to sell the minimum and that might be difficult.

Looked up Janus razors and they are based in Woodbury Minnesota. Pretty cool. I hope he succeeds.

My impression when I read this is that the future price should go down with volume not up.

Keep in mind since this is going on kickstarter there could be a long wait for this.

I'm still waiting for my adjustable Rockwell. It's been two years now.
