Every time someone posts one of those threads about how the doctor put them on blood thinners and ordered them to stop using straights and DEs, I start to think that if that ever happens to me I'll have to grow a beard.

The M3 used to cut me five or six times when I used a fresh blade. I'd bleed out in a hurry.

The new blades were so harsh that I'd use them for a few weeks, enduring the dull ripping/pulling sensation rather than tangle with a fresh blade... I shaved one pass, against the grain. Shudder.

Just have a gander at the other articles he has on his site. This guy is a joke.

I don't think we need the likes of him to be a mouthpiece for straight use. The piece on straights may wind up next to the one on increasing your member!

Grrr... I could have sworn somebody told me that using a straight would lengthen my member... what with all this manly naked blade shaving.

I thought he was a member here.
I know he's on some of the wetshaving forums.
A buddy bought some vintage DE's from him. Seemed like a good guy.

Please apologize me to resurrect this thread, but I don't want simply start a new thread with the same stuff inside

Maybe this link is a more scientific approach while the author is actually haven't use SR but I guess his observation is worth to look, he didn't judge which is better but I guess we all know which is better.

I read the question in the headline and didn't bother to read further. As far as I'm concerned, I know the answer.

I agree with leadduck...IMHO assessing the relative merits of a straight razor shave with that delivered by a multi-blade cartridge razor is like comparing apples to oranges.

errr....what I mean by resurrecting this 3 years old thread is because the link I've provided gives a macro picture of what is razor edge....truthfully I learn a lot from the picture, that is why I'm sharing it...Now I get it why we need stropping, not necessarily I have not idea what stropping is but then these picture give me an exact idea how does it works. IMO this is more objective approach without saying which is better

I initially misunderstood, but now understand your rationale for resurrecting the thread.

    Thanks for doing so...
