Thanked: 4942Just seeing the Maestro and his shop in the pictures here has made me homesick to go back and visit. I have one of those big loom strops and it is unbelievable. The Maestro is really the one who has set every standard out there today in custom straight razor making and he remains a most humble and gracious artisan. I felt like I was leaving family when Cathy and I had to leave Perugia. I could never express the admiration that I have not only for the Maestro's work, but for him as a person. I can never repay him for what he has shown me and the world in his craft. He is a totally elegant gentleman and I am anxious to get back and visit the family again.
What a beautiful razor and present. I hope you will cherish it and the thought behind it for years to come.

We have many custom razor makers who all do fantastic work. I think trying to choose who does the best work is a difficult task and each excels in different facets but overall I think the maestro is at the top of the group. That is one gorgeous razor.
