Thread: Kerosene heated shaving scuttle?

Having lived off grid, I can say for certain a lot of old school, pre grid luxury items were the bees knees.

I think Tom's onto something. The world's royal families for centuries have loved hunting trips as did many other aristocrats. This looks like the accoutrements of a very well healed traveler. Someone who probably never actually touched a razor or brush themselves.

If this was something the rich and famous used there would be many more of them out there and there aren't. Also if the rich owned them they would be very ornate items.

It just looks like an invention that never took hold.
