Picked up my SRP razor today !
I'm the proud owner of SRP ltd. edition razor #158 . It's not a "flamer" , but it is a very nice razor . The blade itself is a thing of beauty , and the grind seems flawless . I checked out the edge , and I swear , I think it's "shave ready" . I'm going to strop it and shave with it tomorrow , and see how it does . I also like the light colored , boxwood scales . I wish they would have put washers between the tang and the scales , but other than that , I think it's an excellent razor .

In general I've found that most TI's can be used out of the box though they can be improved upon with some touch up honing. I have 2 SRP razors #138 and 139. One actually was shave ready and the other took some honing to get it there. They are quality razors deserving of better scales but I guess wood is better than plastic any day.

Well , I just now finished giving it the shave test . Since it's a new razor I gave it 40 laps on the linen and 80 on the leather , which is twice what I normally do . The shave was excellent . Looks like I got lucky , the razor was "shave ready" out of the box and I couldn't have honed it any better . The razor shaved smooth and close , and shaved my chin wiskers with no problem .
