I remember seeing WordStar but never used it. I cut my teeth on a top of the line PC-AT 386 with 4MB of RAM, a Tseng Labs 512kb video card and a 40MB HDD At the time everybody envied me on that machine. The second computer was a C=>64, which got sold to buy a modem for the first one and then I got hooked at the tender age of 13 I still miss those black/amber Hercules monitors

Bah! A mere child!! The first computer I used didn't have a keyboard or a disk. Just toggle switches and neon lights... one for each bit. Later came punched paper tape for "mass storage" and teletypes for consoles/printers. Wordstar didn't show up til maybe 20-years later, give or take.

I'm 66
Emotionally, I'm about 10 (max)
My children, and Grand-Children, are much more mature than I am.
* I wonder if that's just one of the reasons why they all love me so much
