    Default $8 crock pot find...

    Wal-Mart has a 2 quart for $8.

Just thought I would let everyone here know. I figure after hearing how great they are for heating towels at least some of you must be in the market. LOL

I believe I read somewhere that to get
    the towel properly heated takes
about an hour in the crock pot.

Yeah, I think its like an hour. But just to be sure, I will test it tonight and let you guys know how long it takes.

And just to be on the safe side, what target TEMP should I aim for on the towel???

You should have thrown a roast in
there with it. Kill two birds with one
stone . Thanks for the information
though. How did the towel feel?

Nice and hot. Just at that "your fingertips feel like they are on fire" point. LOL

I am gonna try it out with a shave tonight. I think I might throw in some oil with the water. I will probably play around with it for a few days and see what works well.

I had also thought of setting my soap bowl on top of it to heat up. Might work, might not. LOL

I bought a 10 cup old fashion coffee percolater at a thrift store for $3.00 -- the water boils in less than ten minutes! Just unplug it and let it sit a few minutes! I use the water to fill my skuttle, warm my brush, and soak my two barber towels! Nice buy. Ralph S.
