Thank you Denmason!
First off, let me apologize because this post should have been up a week ago.
I was looking for a unique present to give one of my closest friends. He is a 2nd LT in he Army, as I am, and we will be parting to go our ways in May. I will be attending medical school through the Army, and he will be on active duty in Oklahoma. Giving a gift is never easy...since it needs to be well thought out and personal. I was considering restoring an old razor for him, but my restoration skills, although improving, are nothing exceptional. I saw a few razors being sold on the B/S/T forum by Denmason, was impressed, and decided to ask him if he would restore a razor for me. I offered to send the razor and have him make the scales...but, Mr. Mason simply refused. I asked him if I could pay him for his services, and again...he simply refused and told me to check my mail.
I opened the package carefully, unwrapped the packing material, and then just stood there for a minute in silence. I had before me the most beautiful razor I had ever seen! I closed my eyes a few times...and opened them again thinking it must be the mirage of a rusty blade, but it was simply too beautiful.
I am truly truly grateful for this gift, and I think my buddy will be even more excited than I am, and I cannot thank you enough.
Here are some pictures of this beautiful razor
The razor is an 8/8 Prima Solingen and I have been informed that the scales are WengeLast edited by azjoe; 03-16-2008 at 03:19 AM. Reason: attach images

It's thoughtfulness like this that is seen almost daily here. I must say something like this is very close to my heart as i have a son in the army(west point) and I know what these guys go through. Acts like this just give them a rise that is ,well, simply unbelievable. Thanks to the many here that think of others and freely give of themselves, and thank you for this post, YOU MADE MY DAY...
