Thanked: 0T&H shave in Vegas...
I'm headed to Vegas on Thursday for the first weekend of March Madness and a buddy's bachelor party. It should be a blast. I've decided that I'm not going to take any shaving gear because I want to carry on and don't want to deal with the hassle of a straight or even a DE.
So, my solution is that I think I'm going to try to swing by T&H at Caesar's on Saturday and hopefully get a shave from them. I'm worried they might be busy, but I don't want to make an appt. for fear I'll miss it .
Have any of y'all had a shave from T&H in Vegas, and, if so, what did you think?

1. Go to the Post Office.
2. Ship your shaving material to the hotel you're staying at (make sure to call the hotel to get shipping information).
3. Shave.
4. Ship it back home.
I did this with medicine before when I flew, since I have to take my medicine via IV, and it's not the kind of stuff you'd normally see. So to avoid the hassle, I just shipped it. Worked great. I found USPS to be MUCH cheaper than UPS, and worked just fine.

There are two different threads at B&B. One basically said that it was the best thing since sliced toast......the other said it was horrible and avoid at all cost. The funny thing is.......the same guy shaved both people.
I would do it personally..

I would probably do it for the hell of it, but don't be surprised if you get a less than perfect shave. The experience should be relaxing though.

Thanked: 0I would definitely do this for a longer trip or a trip where being presentable was more important. But, since my beard grows really slowly anyway and I'm only going to be gone for a few days, it's probably not worth the hassle this time. Really, I'm just using this as an excuse to get a T&H shave.

I have had three shaves there. Two were pretty good. No cuts or irritation, but not as close as I can get myself. No surprise, since I practice on myself every day. It's very relaxing and IMHO worth it just to get the full hot towel treatment while reclining in a barber chair.
The last time I was there I went in on the spur of the moment because the airline had "delayed" my luggage and I was unwilling to use a multi-blade POS. I got a great shave, very close and smooth w/no irritation. The woman who did it clearly had significant experience and knew exactly what she was doing. Too bad I forgot her name .
Give it a try. As far as the reservation thing is concerned, give them a call and ask when they usually have open time. Going shortly after they open should let you walk in or at least have a minimal wait.

I've gone there too. I wouldn't rate it as a great shave because I shave with a straight every day already, but as an experience it was fantastic. You would have to be willing to indulge a little, it aint cheap.

Thanked: 0Ok, y'all have talked me into it! I'm going to stop by and see if I can get in, assuming that I can pull myself away from the blackjack tables and the sports book. I'll report back.

I live here and have yet to go and do it. I stray away from that part of town.
