    Default Anyone heard from Howard?

    has anyone here heard from howard at theperfectedge.com?

    i placed an order and has emailed him 2 times with no response. the hone would just now be getting here in the next few days anyway, just wondering if he ever got my order at all. i see that he has not logged in on here since 3/23.

    IME I've had better luck by calling him during the day rather than emailing. That's my suggestion. He emailed me back regarding some hone and stone chatting I've had with him periodically a few weeks back. He should be around.

    My last email from him was April third. Also I went to the post office to pick up a package from him today.

    He's a busy fellow, and e-mail isn't always the best method of
    communication. I would recommend always trying to call a
    vendor before raising a question like this on the boards.

    had i just posted this without trying to contact him, i would feel bad after reading your response. however since i have tried to contact him, multiple times, i posted here. i am not knocking him in any way.a lot of people on this board are friends outside SRP. i was hoping that one may be with howard and may know if he is busy or on vacation or sick, etc. or if you placed an order, what type of response did you get noting that it was shipped?

    of the 4 people replying 2 have received orders. just trying to find out what to expect in communication after an order. i have heard nothing but great things about his products and services. i am just really anxious to get my new hone. i am sure everything is fine.

    My experience was similar... Sometimes a phone call is the fastest way to get things sorted out with Howard. Not to worry though. He gets the orders out as soon as he can. He does travel extensively and replies can at times be late. In my case it was issues with stock... I had to wait until he got more 8 x 3 coticules in.... then, as he was lapping mine (the last one in the shipment) it slipped out of his hands and hit the concrete floor in the shop... needless to say, I had to wait a bit longer before my order was filled. It was worth the wait!

    The order I talked about above I did receive an email with tracing number as well. All within normal email correspondence times or whatever you call it.

    As a newbie I am very glad that you posted as I hadn't heard of Howard and his website. I don't know if I will buy anything from The Perfect Edge but it is nice to know where it is + I just learned that I shouldn't be leaving my 4000/8000 Norton soaking at the bottom of this page.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    for those that have read the rest of the thread, let me give an update. hone arrived Friday afternoon. very well packaged. great looking product. a pleasure to do business with.
    i still would prefer a quick email letting me know that it had been shipped, but i have it in my grubby paws so no worries. now i need to save for something else.
