Thread: Soon to be using a str8 over my entire face again

About 8 months ago, decided to try grow my first full beard. Great experience, but with summer coming up, the beard will be coming off.

The question is should I shave it off myself and then be able to use one of my str8 razors across my entire face instead of just for edging my beard or have a barber who uses a feather razor shave it off? Never had a shave in that shop before so I have no idea how decent it will be. Wonder if they would use one of my razors if I brought it in? I've only went there once for a haircut which is when I found out they give shaves. Prefer my regular barber for haircuts, but he doesn't give shaves.

What would you do? Thanks for your suggestions.

I'd trim it down with scissors then shave with the straight. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd let a barber do it however he wanted to so long as I got a hot towel
