Placed the order today, asked for a proof before production. They said to allow 14 working days (if I remember correctly) so we should see a proof in about a week and a half or two weeks.

Money has been coming in hot and heavy, still a few on the list who haven't sent their money in for their order, but there is still time to do so.

    Exclamation Decal Update

Just got off the phone with the manufacturer and they cannot match the type on the srp logo, they are going to send 2 proofs so we can choose the font.

Now for the bad news. The decals may be a little more expensive than originally priced. They also needed a different file type, this one was a jpg, and they would like to have had a vector so they could edit it easily. Since we didn't have the vector, there may be an art charge added, also they are talking about the possibility of printing it in a 4 color process, which, while it is a better quality-more realistic looking, is a more expensive process.

I will keep you informed as to what goes on, at the moment all we can do is await the proofs and see what happens.

I'm not that worried about price, it's not like they were 10 bucks a pop to start with... Let me know and I'll paypal you another 2 or 3 bucks for my order of two

Thanks. I believe in being upfront with everyone about what is going on. They are sending
a decal for me to approve the colors (quality) in an overnight package, should see it this afternoon.
If I can keep it, I will scan and let everyone take a look.

Same here, the price was so low initially, it's really no big deal. Thanks for the heads up though.

Sorry to hear that this is turning into a full time project for you. It was supposed to be a quick and easy thing. Just let us know what we need to do to "make it right with you".
    Thanks, Ken.

I received the sample SRP decal, and to be honest I was less than pleased. Instead of gold,
it was yellow, not even a solid yellow. So I called the home office in MA and talked to the customer rep. I was told that they are printing it digitally, and that gold has always given them a problem. He is going to talk to the Art Director and see what can be done. He did say that a tan or khaki color would be closer to the gold color than what was presented to us. I've worked with the Customer Rep, know him quite well, so I'm positive that he is being upfront with us on this.

As far as this being a full time job, don't worry about it, being "retired" at an early age, I have nothing but time.
