What do you think the most manly shave is? :D

Scraping the hair off with a chunk of flint I've knapped myself using river mud as the only lubricant while sitting on a warm rock near the rushing stream twenty miles out of cellular range.:roflmao :roflmao
Well X, I have to say that I am impressed with the unimpeachable objectivity you used in preparing the questions for your survey. :roflmao
My answer to the poll... "YES."
I usually smash a window over my face or if I want a really close shave I will stick my head into the Amazon where the piranha are breeding, but if I'm in a hurry I grab my pet bobcat by the neck and scrape its incisors across my face a couple of times. Bobcat makes the lather, strops with back alley rodents afterward
My grandfather never understands why I take the time to shave, but I keep trying to tell him that I have to leave the wolf pack sooner or later and a good shave makes a great impression
...
that was fun. I guess I'd better get back to work pushing pencils
I have always felt most masculine when shaving with a broken bottle I had to pull out of my thigh after a street fight in the South Bronx.
Whenever I wanted a shave in the past I'd track down a nest of Ninjas and tease them mercilessly until they got angry. Then, I'd use my super-fine reflexes and highly developed fast-twitch muscles in my neck to dodge the ninja throwing stars they'd send my way to get a pretty decent WTG pass. If I wanted BBS, I'd goad them into using their swords...
But now that I've found straights, I save a fair bit of time.
James.
When I want the most manly shave I torment a few Giant Hornets and just use their mandibles to give me the closest shave ever.
I've been shaving with a straight for a little over 4 years. I've yet to see anything more masculine, except for shaving with a bowie knife.
I find shaving with the teeth of a live shark makes me feel all "manly"
Shaving in general is kind of 'gentlemanly' in my eyes - but shaving with a straight is pretty bada**. If I was to completely embrace my manliness I'd be running around in a loincloth with a full beard scooping up women and beer:D
I rub ronsonol into my face and then light a match
I picked the "I've started the straight and it is the most masculine" option. However, I'll still use a DE from time to time when I'm in a hurry and to keep the skills up on that as well. Seems like mastering one won't prepare you for the other.
I shave with a straight and use Hydrochloric acid as an AS.
Feel the burn...
Shards of beer bottle glass taken from the face of someone who looked at me funny - but I couldn't see it on there.

Yeah, that's well... OUCH!
The most manly shave I could think of is being shaved with a pink Bic disposable wielded by Raquel Welch when she was around 30 years old. :D
Otherwise I'd just step off my motorcycle while traveling at aprox. 160 mph and let the asphalt grind my beard off... only trick is to find a good aftershave that can calm down any potential razor burn.
Regards
Kaptain "I wish I'd had a chance to try that first shave I mentioned.. the second one sucked" Zero
Don't you just love it when you post a serious thread and expect some serious replies and get a bunch of wise a**es.
Commando- it's the only way to do it, no matter if you're in the river with a piece of flint or using the glass from your last brewski.
Time to get naked!
Reportedly, the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest shaved with a sharpened clam shell.:eek: Now that seems manly...
Ken.
Who'll stick to less manly straights.:rolleyes:
For the manliest, smoothest skin and closest shave I go Roman Legionaire style -
I briskly scrub a slab of freshly hewn pumice stone all over "la bella figura" then follow with a nice splash of a 20th century favorite Pinaud Clubman. Bellisimo!
You know, I've been thinking (uh oh...). And it occurs to me that some of the manliest men in history actually *didn't* shave:
Chuck Norris;
Grizzly Adams;
Vikings;
That guy in "The Joy of Sex";
ZZ Top;
I could go on.
I don't want to worry anyone unnecessarily, but (just quietly) perhaps we've become out of touch with true manliness.
Anyway, just a thought.
I must dash - Crabtree and Evelyn are having a sale at the moment. Sweet Almond Oil doesn't grow on trees you know.
James.
Before I switched to a straight, I used an electirc.....chainsaw.
i let the SWMBO use several methods to give me that BBS feel.....

If I had $10 I could buy a grinder for my face
Hilarious poll!
I'll admit one day early in my Naval career I tried singing off the whiskers with a Bic right before an inspection I was late to.....
(it didn't really work well for me....although it did burn my face....)
Not the greatest idea I'd had that year...

You guys are a bunch of wusses! I've tried everything you guys have mentioned plus some! Just not enough excitement for me, so i've settled for what gives me the closest shave! I spread honey on my face and find a group of army ants..mmm! Baby butt smooth! Then I use a little panther piss from a live panther for skin balm...does the trick every time!
I have Chuck Norris roundhouse-kick the whiskers off my face once a month. I could probably wait for two months, but it's kind of fun.
Last week I had Hannibal Lechter over for breakfast. I stuck ut my jaw and said, "Bite Me." Now that was baby bite smooth!"
