Default Where can I buy glycerin?

Is there anyone here that buys a bottle of pure glycerin, to use directly on their face or to mix with other products? I'm pretty sure I remember hearing about that. Where can I buy the pure glycerin though?

    Thanks.
    Neil.

I picked up my glycerin at one of the large local supermarkets. They had a decent-sized bottle behind the pharmacy counter for ~$5.00.

Pharmacies, health food stores, any place that carries essential oils or herbs... you just have to ask, it's often available, but overlooked.

So would Whole Foods Market carry some? I went to both CVS and Walgreens today, asked 3 different people in each store, none of them knew what the hell I was talking about, and I couldn't find it myself. Maybe target or wal mart pharmacies will have them if Whole Foods Doesn't.

Does anyone think it would be a good mixture with, let's say...thayers witch hazel? Is it go by itself...what's it good to mix with?

At Walmart look next to first aid/band aid section, or ask if you don't see it there. Humco brand, 6 oz. bottle. I add it to my soaps and alcohol based after shaves. Good Luck.

Easiest place to find it is in the baking / cake making section of your supermarket, at least in the UK but I assume the US is the same.

It's sold in little bottles alongside the colourings and flavourings used for cake making.

Walmart does have it on the same isle as the WH ....
You can add a few drops to just about anything really... I even add 2 drops or so per once of my aftershaves...
Try about 5 drops in yer lather

Steel, you just saved me $$$ in shipping cos I was just about to order it from the States. I must have spent close to 2 hours trying to find it, too and the only site was $30 odd for shipping!

Thank you and bump for other UK members.
