Thread: Attention North Alabama Wetshavers ...

I am creating a Google group for those of us in North Alabama, particularly the Huntsville/Madison/Athens/Decatur area. The purpose of this group is to have a convenient way of organizing meetups, groups buys, and selling things locally. I don't intend for this group to be a discussion forum, so there most likely won't be a whole lot of bandwidth. PM me your email address and where you live and I'll sent an invite.

Why not use the Social Groups here?

They are found by clicking on your User CP and then under Networking on the left "Social Groups."

I was just in Huntsville last weekend for the Whistle Stop BBQ festival. I judged at this fantastic contest. I also found a great knife shop on University. The owner was really nice and he had a good supply of DOVO razors and lots of honing equipment.
I live in Chattanooga and might be interested. I know I'll be in the area in September for other events, but it is just two hours from Chatta.

I thought about that, but I'd like to have a centralized means of reaching local people who from a number of different forums. I do appreciate the suggestion.

Yes, that is a nice shop with a very friendly, helpful owner. I hope he is able to stay in business. Specialty shops like that in a small town are a real gamble. I haven't been there in some time and all he had in the shaving realm was a couple of Hen & Rooster straights. I'll have to stop back in some time. Since I got my Sebenza a couple of years back, I haven't had much interest in knives.
