    Default Old Barber's Manual

Howdy. I have posted scans from The Barbers Manual by A. B. Moler on my web site at http://www.workerseducation.org/crut...ing/moler.html. I'll be putting up more stuff as time allows.

That was great, thanks! I've been wanting to look at an old barber manual but I haven't been able to access any of the ones in the archives.

Very good information here, thank you!

One of the best and most accurate descriptions of honing and stropping science I've ever read.

I think a link to this should be added to the sticky. Great reading, thanks!

Thanks for the scan. I did some further browsing, and found a pdf containing the complete book at Internet Archive: Free Download: The barbers' manual.
I am currently reading that one. Very interesting indeed.

It's really cool to see an old barbers manual. I wish they would have said why they use an x-stroke on the hone. Did they say that because the hone was too thin, or because it makes the blade sharper, or both? Oh well. Thanks for posting this!
