Now is still the time to go into any antique store you can possibly find and buy razors. In my experience, much more than Ebay, antique stores in my state generally still sell razors for good prices. I guess the increased cost of razors is what it is. I hope to use it to my advantage: I've made probably 6 phone calls back and forth with an antique dealer who is allegedly supposed to have around 20 "mint condition" (his words) razors for me to make an offer on this Saturday (nude scaled razor, MOP inlays, etc). IF I think they're worth be buying low enough and selling high enough on Ebay and keeping a few for myself.....maybe I'll make enough to put back into this hobby. Mini-metal lathe, Mill AND 2"x72" grinder in my future?
I'm crossing my fingers!

The I was talking about were the oil companies. As for razors, Johnny Depp most definately.

I recently clicked over to Classic Shaving for the first time in quite a while. They've increased their prices. Many of their razors have an extra twenty or thirty bucks tacked on.

Not in Idaho...
I don't even hit the antique shops anymore. Their prices are so far out of line, I have given up. They're asking $25.00 - $30.00 for junkers - that would not even sell on Ebay for $3.00.
I don't bother to explain the economics anymore - they wont budge! The last shop I was in, the owner pulled out this "dog" (again, wouldn't go for $5.00 on Ebay), he wanted $50.00 for it, saying, "It's one of my favorites" - yea, right!
