Thanked: 2Shave at a barber shop in Vegas
I'll be in a suburb of Vegas and am wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for an old-school/traditional barber shop you've been to or know of for a straight razor shave. I'm planning on going at T&H to look around, but would prefer to get a shave at an actual barber shop vs. T&H. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

My friend in Vegas says you can get a shave at The Art of Shaving at Mandalay Bay. No idea about quality, but since the recommendation comes from this particular friend, I'd say it's good.

Town and Country Barber at Craig and Decatur, see Dave. I went there and got a good shave for $25.00.

I have had three shaves at T&H in Vegas. Two were good, and one was outstanding. I really enjoy the whole process as much as anything....reclining in the chair, hot towels etc. Worth it? I guess that's an individual thing, but I know I like it. Bear in mind that it will take a pretty experienced Barber to deliver a shave that is better than what you can accomplish at home. After all, the barber gets one shot at it, you practice every day.
My routine goes like this when I go to T&H in Vegas. First, a Barber shave at Truefitt then breakfast at Stage Deli. After breakfast it's off to Casa Fuente for a cigar followed by a side trip back to my room (to drop off all the stuff I inevitably buy at T&H and Fuente). Since I'm back at the room, maybe a brief nap is in order before hitting the Poker room. All in all, it's a grueling day.
