    Default Hello all

Thought I'd post a hello to everyone here. New to this site (can't believe I haven't checked this out a long time ago). Been reading the posts for the last few days and there is a lot of great info here. I've been straight razor shaving for about 7 years now so I'm not exactly a newbie to it, but have found a ton of tips on this site already which I'm dying to try out. It's a fantastic site. Kudos to the person who set this up.

Welcome to the forums, we are glad to have you!. I'm sure you have acquired a lot of useful information in your 7 years of using straights. I look forward to reading some of your posts in the future to gain some knowledge and tips myself.

Since you have been doing this for a while perhaps you can teach some of new shavers how to get the job done. Mine is away getting sharpened so I will not be able to start for a while.

I've already been browsing the Newbie areas. Best thing I can say is to just stick with it. After 7 years I still consider myself just an advanced newbie myself. Hell, even nicked myself this morning. Its very rewarding if you stick with it. Hardest thing to learn it honing in my opinion. But I'll make sure to post any insights I have.
