Slowing growth
I've noticed that since starting to use a straight, some spots of my face have almost no hair growth compared to previously.
either side of the chin, a couple of spots on the neck, etc.
Now I know I used to get even beard growth before, so why the change? anybody else get this?

That's because the hair is so terrified of the straight they refuse to grow out.

Thanked: 22I have noticed that too. Just the other day I shaved with my first razor that I set the bevel and polished. It took 36hrs before I got enough stubble to shave again. It had slowed a bit already but more so now, and maybe the more we do it the less we will need to shave. BAck when I used a mock3 it took only a matter of time before my face was like sand paper again. My how times have changed for the better.

I've often wondered about this myself in the past. I came to the conclusion that my beard/tache has always had uneven patches of growth, but only since I started wet shaving have I really paid attention to direction of hair growth etc. and noticed it.
With disposables I never bothered looking that closely to be honest.

Thanked: 11I would say the opposite ... a year ago once every 2 days was fine, now the 2 day growth is quite long and the hairs feel like they are getting thicker.

I think my beard is growing more now then before, but then again it still might not be done in the first place....
