Actually I think Ill try this one instead.

Shavemac - Your Shaving Shop! Shaving brushes, shaving knifes, razors, soaps, ...#

I really like the long handle.

Maybe its too soft, but its not the last brush Im getting, thats for sure. Next time its the Rooney, and then the MEGA Vulfix, which I think is SO cool.

Shavemac makes a fine brush you'll be happy with it. Those really large brushes are not the cat's meow. You need special holders for them, they consume huge amounts of soap, water and soap go flying all over the place and they can be unwieldy. I had the one just under that in size and wound up giving it away. I think medium brushes are the way to go. Of course thats my opinion. YMMV as they say.

Silvertip Shavemac is my recommendation. I think the cobalt blue handled one is cheapest.

Whats YMMV? You May Mean Variously?

Anyway thx for the advice spendur, Ill consider it. I just think the big one is cool, and I would use it to make larger amounts of lather for shaving my head.

How come the shavemac silvertip I chose is only 116$?? It seems inexspensive compared to other brands, especially considering the great compliments it recieves here on str8 place.

YMMV = Your mileage may vary.

I can't believe nobody has suggested a simpson yet. It's a bit pricey, but a simpson chubby is like lathering your face with a little velvet pillow.

Whilst on the subject of simpson, how about a PJ2 in Super - the ultimate brush!

Do you have some links to good shops, where I can buy Simpson and PJ2?

The PJ2 is a Simpson, it refers to the model, the Persian Jar 2 in Super Badger, I don't know where you are, I am in the UK so if you aren't I am sure somebody will help you out. As with many things you will have your own preferances, but I own several high end brushes, Simpson, Rooney, kents, Vulfix to name a few but the simpson PJ2 in Super is my no.1 both with soaps and creams.
