A lucky shaver .......
My birthday was a couple months ago,my great friend David showed up at my house with a few presents, a very nice folding knife and 3 great qualitty blades, a henckels, droescher and a double duck satin edge, you can imagine how happy i got. None of the blades had handles, they werent in bad shape per se.....but they werent shave ready and they had a little bit of tarnish here and there.
I decided to contact traveller to see if he could put some handles on for me, he told me he was busy but he will try his best to do it soon.
i think he was charging me a little bit less than $80 bucks for the job , the job consisted in making the scales and install them with adjustable pins, wich i consider to be a very good price for this kind of job, a check was sent along....
My surprise was to receive an email a week or two later from him saying that he had forgotten to tell me that i had been selected in some kind of contest the winner and the job was free of charge, a few days later the blades were at my house with the check along with them.
Without me knowing he had cleaned them up and had honed them to perfection, they are incredible sharp smooth shavers , the blades look brand new.
To be honest it still hurts me that he didnt charge for this work, he did such a great job....
I really aprreciatte the generositty of my friend david and traveller, i will be eternally greatfull.
All i can say is....i am a lucky shaver.Last edited by SIB; 07-28-2008 at 04:57 PM.
