I'm back
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long sence I've said hi but for those of you who have forgoten or didn't know I camp for a living. Well I just made my first trip with my beautiful DOVO classic. She was a total success at being able to shave in the middle of a dessert with minimal water. This last trip had me hiking Death Valley. I took 8 boys from the ages of 13 to 17 all at risk youth. We hiked a total of 50 miles with NO water available on the hike except at locations every 3rd day. One of my requirements for my boys is they have to shave every day and carry all their own water. What a surprise it was for them when I was still shaving when we made it to our water drop on the third day and they had to wait till the food and water drop. On our way to our next trail. Well to make a long story short I think I just turned 8 more young boys to the fun of the straight razor. And the look on thier faces when I pulled out a razor that they have only seen in the movies was priceless!
Well I leave again in 2 weeks for North Carolina so i'm off for more supplies....I think this time I'll take a couple extra razors and see if any want to start learning on the trail. Maybe one of those disposable blade razors so i dont have to worry about them sharing a blade?

It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

I'm a Adventure Educator/ At-risk-youth counselor. I don't need help but there are plenty of companies that do but I worn you it's not as easy as most people think and the pay aint that great. Death Valley was awesome. Very hot during the day...my little thermometer said 110 when i checked it one day...and very cold at night....never was willing to check the temp at night...that required getting out of my sleeping bag.
