Thread: Place to be shaved in Calgary

Hi guys,

My boyfriend has been curious about straight razor shaving but before investing in all the equipment I thought I would treat him to one at a barber shop for his birthday to see whether he likes it or not.

So I've been trying, with no success, to find a shop in Calgary that will do it.

So far all I've found is MVP and I've heard (may not be true) that they don't really do a great job. And even if they do they don't offer it on the weekends.

I heard that 5th St Barbershop does them but they told me they've stopped, same with North Haven Barbers.

Does anyone know of anywhere else that offers them?

I just heard of a barbershop in the West Edmonton Mall that does straight shaves. I'll be going there when I need my next haircut (approx 3 weeks). It is just north of the Ice Palace, down the hall with The Body Shop in it.

I know it is not Calgary.
