i tried to post for the DFW gathering and was sent a little note as well. however i was not banned. maybe because i do have more than 1 post. not much though. but my thread was deleted as well.

i sent the mod the question and kept it nice in my angry state of mind. the response i got was understanding. i am paraphrasing here since i deleted the PM.
there had events in the past where
1. people travelled and showed up only to find that it was a pay to enter event
2. people travelled and showed up only to find 2-3 people there
3. when B&B members tried to post on other forums, they were unwelcome to post their meetings

so for now they just ask respectfully not to post for meetings or gatherings.

no forum names were given or requested. i respected the answer that i got and though bummed, will live with it.

Conspiracy theory over - B&B were having a major problem with porn spammers and did away with a lot of accounts by mistake. I have just to go back on and recreate the account.

Glad my fears were wrong - it did make me wonder but thankfully it was just a glitch. It's good to have more than one place to hang now and then and we are in too small an interest to be insular.
