    That's too long - should have at least replied to your email. Like Kubrick said - file a PayPal claim. That usually galvanises someone into action.

    Default Final decision

    I'm glad that I didn't jump the gun because life did indeed happen. The seller has contacted me and, while the package hasn't been shipped yet , I was given an explanation. Thanks for being a sounding board and offering good advice everyone.

    Claytor, in over 300 ebay purchases using Paypal (plus my purchases on this site) I have had to file for refunds from Paypal just twice. The first time was when ebay didn't own Paypal and the notification and refund policies were contradictory (ebay wouldn't let you file until 30 days after purchase, and Paypal required a request notice within 30 days). In the first case I received my money from Paypal within 1 day. In the second case I got a shipping notification from the seller the next day. Paypal has some pretty strong teeth in their bite. I generally give about 2 weeks to hear from the seller, then try to contact them. If nothing heard within another 10 days, or so, I contact Paypal.
