    Default User hasn't paid

I didn't know where (or even if) to post this, but it has been annoying me a little, and as such this morning I thought I'd just do it.

A guy purchased a Dovo Bismarck from me from the classifieds section here on SRP. However, instead of paying me in British Pounds (which I asked for) he paid me in US Dollars. Obviously this means that he paid me less than he should have. I rejected the payment in PayPal (they need authorisation for incoming payments in different currencies so they can slap their conversion fees on top) and sent the guy an e-mail, letting him know of the problem.

While I would have been annoyed if he'd written back saying he didn't want it anymore (due to the price) I would have nevertheless moved on. However, I have not heard back from him at all. Nothing. In fact, I cannot even find any posts or anything else by him on this website.

Does anyone actually have any contact with this guy at all, in case he merely hasn't checked his email inbox (though it seems unlikely)?

You never shipped the razor right!? He is obviously not interested, so just relist it. If you do a buy now also, then you get to list it in your own currency (IIRC), then paypal will force it to be paid in your currency. This way the problem will not occur again.

It's possible that the email address he put into his paypal account was not typed correctly. This happened to me with en ebay razor I purchased. The seller didn't receive payment. I would say call Paypal and/or PM buyer here in SRP. If other contact methods are available try those.

Did you ship the razor? I am supposing you did, because if not, then none of this would really matter. I suggest you exhaust other possibilities of contact, using SRP moderator/administrators, and Pay Pal before you begin something this public.

Actually I didn't ship the razor. Fortunately. It just annoyed me a little that someone tried buying it, but would not get back to me anymore after finding out that he didn't pay the proper way. I was kind of hoping someone here actually knew the guy, and maybe there was just a simple explanation.

I have sent one more email to him, but if he doesn't answer that, then I will relist it.

That's a bit of a bummer. Communication is so important during any transaction. Good thing you didn't ship the razor.

Just for the record I bought a Wusthof from Fapat5 recently and there were no issues. Paid in GBP easily with Paypal.

Oh well, it doesn't matter anymore, if he doens't pay he doesn't get, simple as that. By the way, how did you get on with that Wusthof, or did you not try it yet?
