Default Huge props to Tony Miller

I'm sure you guys already know this, but I'm going to say it anyway...

    Tony Miller rocks.

I just received my four sided paddle strop from him today. He hand-stamped the diamond paste sizes right into the leather, according to the three diamond paste sizes that I ordered. The bare leather side has been pre-treated, and looks like I'll never have to do a thing to maintain it. His quality of workmanship is truly outstanding. And, thankfully, he included very easy-to-follow directions explaining how to use the bare side, and how to properly apply the pastes. He advertises that the amount of paste he includes is only good for two applications, but I'd be willing to bet you could squeeze three or possibly even four out of them if you're not too ham-fisted.

His products are first rate, and very reasonably priced. Tony, I wish you *much* success; you deserve it.

Thank you! Glad you are pleased. On your "Combo" paddle the plain side is a buffed red latigo leather. The buffed finish gives it a bit more draw to make up for the smaller surface of a paddle vs. a hanging strop.

I can only take credit for the design and the leather work on these. My Amish friends, Henry Stoltzfus turns the blanks to my specs and John and Amos Lapp apply the finish so the woodworking applause goes to them.

Not to thread-jack, but I just got my apprentice strop from TM as well =D

I haven't had the chance to use it yet due to my razor fight with the sink faucet, but I'm sure it will be great.

I think you'll be more than pleased... sorry to hear that your faucet bit your razor.

i dont have a pasted combos stop (yet). i have a TM hanging strop but i could not agree with you more. it is my third strop and by far my best, even the practice strop that came with it is amazing and is still better than the other two stops that i have had in the past. tony miller products are great!!!!
