And POOF! it's gone... :(
Somehow, I lost the second razor I bought.... It was a 6/8 Triton Spike point Full hollow, and it was my absolute best shaver. It took an edge so easily, and really gave that "velvet squeegee" shave super easy with little work.
I have a built in closet in our spare bathroom that I keep all of my shaving gear in, and I never take anything out of that bathroom except when I travel, but I've always used a swedish steel Dovo for travel - never the triton.
So, I check my closet one day to grab my favorite razor.... and alakazam, it's vanished! I've torn the house apart looking for it, to no avail......
I've still got a decent rotation, but I'm missing my favorite. Boo!
Anyone else ever just lost a razor?

Thanked: 77Kids? There's not much in this world cooler than a straight razor to a kid (taboo, mystique, dangerous, old world, Pirates of the Carribean, ...).
Large pack rats in the house?
Did it get scooped up with towels headed for the laundry?

Sorry to hear to hear about your dilemma.I had almost the same thing happen to me one time.I could not locate my favorite Smith & Wesson Tactical Knife.I figured I lost it and just a little more than a year later, poof!, there it was.My wife had washed it with my pants and found it in the washer than put it up in the cupboard where she stores the laundry detergent.I asked her a thousand times if she has ever seen it and always her reply was nope. When I showed it to her she admmitted what she had done.So my advice is maybe a little incentive might be offered,a reward of such, something to jar the memory..It is only a thought, but it might be worth a try. Also try to remember the last time you used it,did you put it away? Good luck finding your favorite razor,if no one grabbed it ,it should show up when you least expect it.

Even if I have never lost a razor in my bathroom, I have been the witness of many strange disappearances in my quite little apartment (34 square meters)... the last one was my wife's external hard disk: it just disappeared and we couldn't find it - as it was the backup copy of her work, it was never taken away from home... but is nowhere to be found...
We have two answers to those bizarre disappearances: metaphysical holes and Leprechauns (we have at least two of them roaming our apartment, fighting, mixing clothes and making things disappear). If you don't have any kids - or stealing friends - maybe it is one of your Leprechauns who is playing with you. Maybe you can try giving him money or gold in exchange of the lost item, sometimes it works; the other solution is to go to the next church and pray to St Anthony of Padoua.
Anyway... Good luckLast edited by Ockham; 11-04-2008 at 07:12 PM. Reason: found & pray to

Thanked: 77If it's a leprechaun you have a chance. If it's a menehune you should just move immediately.

Kids? Good idea.. I've been noticing that my seven week old daughter's butt is baby butt smooth......
No parties, but leprechauns could be a valid explanation. I'll go google how to leprechaun proof my house... and check above the washing machine!

I lost my 3/8 Heljestrand for a while. Found it between the dresser and wardrobe a few weeks later. Hope you find it before any children do.

I've lost a few things but not a straight. Turned out that I really misplaced it. I either forgot about them or they showed up unexpectidly while doing something else. Uh... what were we talking about?

Leprechauns is a bunch of crap. It’s Gremlins. Don’t worry, just go spend an exorbitant amount of money to faithfully reproduce the original razor and as soon as you have committed the cash – POOF – the first one will show up.
