Thanked: 0SRP still going strong?
Hello all,
I haven't visited the boards in quite a while, but was active in the beginning of 2008 when I lot of people seemed to be joining the boards and getting interested in straight razor shaving. I got my newby kit from TheTopher around that time and was getting really into it, but graduation, a move, looking to start a career, and hurricanes all seemed to stunt my progress. The board skin had just changed about the time I stopped signing on as much. Just wondering how membership has been and how the community has been evolving. Best forum on the net!

Someone may need to correct me, but I think membership has increased more than 50% since you last visited. SRP is still the best. The forums have been refined and the knowledge base is growing dramatically every day.
Welcome back.

I believe Bill is correct, membership seems to have blown up recently. You should also note that you can access the old skin from a dropdown menu at the bottom of the main page (I prefer and still use the old skin). Glad you're back to the forums, and I hope you can find the time to be here more often.

A lot of technological advancements have taken place here, not the least of which is the new classified section for all selling and buying - the old B/S/T forum has been archived for reading only.
I'd say that the forum is still going strong, with a particular emphasis of late on the elections - another booming area, IMHO, is the workshop (along with the forge).
Welcome back - here's hoping you can find time to explore a little.

When I joined it was still like a small village. Everybody knew everybody. We even knew each other's ebay accound id's lol Now it's more like a town turning into a city, with all of the advantages and disadvantages. Nothing to complain about, just an evolutionary stage of a growing community.
